Welcome to the "Original" Dynasty Rankings Fantasy Football Blog

This blog was born out of a Dynasty Rankings thread originally begun in October, 2006 at the Footballguys.com message boards. The rankings in that thread and the ensuing wall-to-wall discussion of player values and dynasty league strategy took on a life of its own at over 275 pages and 700,000 page views. The result is what you see in the sidebar under "Updated Positional Rankings": a comprehensive ranking of dynasty league fantasy football players by position on a tiered, weighted scale. In the tradition of the original footballguys.com Dynasty Rankings thread, intelligent debate is welcome and encouraged.

Do you think Reggie Bush would qualify as a good buy-low guy right now? He looked better than ever early in the year, but the knee is a cause for concern.

I just don't have enough confidence in him. No doubt he's gold in PPR leagues, but he's proven that he can't run the ball well at all . . . and now he's had two straight season interrupted by a knee injury.

He's the kind of guy I'd let someone else take a chance on.

All right, Wess. I just traded for Torry Holt. I hope you're right

Damn, I forgot to fix that. I changed my mind the next day. . .

Seriously, I think he's a good buy at a cheap price. But I do think the weeks of 8/100/2 are over for good.

Well, I didn't give up too much, so it's worth the gamble. I have WR issues.

I'm not expecting those numbers, just a little bit more consistency than what I have.
