I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share this blog entry by Eagles' beat writer Dave Brooks on the subject of that grandstanding windbag, Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter. And the feeling goes double for those ass clowns wasting their time with the lame charade about baseball players and HGH instead of doing the jobs they actually get paid to do in Congress.
I never get political on this blog because no one gives a crap about my political views.That's why I have never understood the reasoning behind putting political
bumper stickers on one's car. I want to create a bumper sticker that
says, "I don't give a sh*t what you think." It would be the first ever bumper sticker you could throw on the front of your car.
Anyways....it was made public today that Senator Arlen Specter has sent more than one letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell inquiring about the possibility of the Patriots stealing the Eagles signs during the 04' Super Bowl. Take a look for yourself:
First off Senator nitwit, SUPER BOWL is TWO WORDS. Secondly, isn't Specter's time better spent doing his actual job, rather than using his bully pulpit to satisfy his own personal interests? What kind of resolution is Specter seeking? Just imagine how much time Specter is going to waste answering questions and defending himself in the upcoming week. Is this what we pay him for?
To explain himself to Angelo Cataldi and the Morning Team? I think not.
Personally, I think this is an attempt to gain the public support/attention of the Philadelphia sports fan. An extremely lame attempt. So do me a favor Senator, go back to work reducing taxes, eliminating government waste, and representing the fine citizens of Pennsylvania. Stop asking us to foot the bill for your own whimsical interests.
And don't get me started about the soccer stadium in Chester.

Enough is enough. This man and his personal crusade to make the world an uglier place has gone to far. The good people of Pennsylvania need to stand up and hold Mr. Specter accountable for his reckless waste of their tax dollars. Most people know by now what this is really about. It has everything to do with the fact that there is a long standing rivalry between Comcast Cable (headquartered in PA) and the NFL and Comcast being one of Specters biggest cash cows. This has nothing to do with Mr. Specters concern for Steelers and Eagles fans. Give us a break you windbag media monger.
Mr. Specter, the NFL has levied the harshest penalty it has ever put down on the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick for these so called Spygate infractions. Belichick was fined $500,000 the team $250,000 and the loss of a first round draft pick. This is a matter for the NFL to handle an entity of the private sector and has no business being dragged into the already overburdened Senate. Worry about your constituents and state of PA wich recently held the dubious title murder capital of the country. Get your priorities in order or get out.
