Welcome to the "Original" Dynasty Rankings Fantasy Football Blog

This blog was born out of a Dynasty Rankings thread originally begun in October, 2006 at the Footballguys.com message boards. The rankings in that thread and the ensuing wall-to-wall discussion of player values and dynasty league strategy took on a life of its own at over 275 pages and 700,000 page views. The result is what you see in the sidebar under "Updated Positional Rankings": a comprehensive ranking of dynasty league fantasy football players by position on a tiered, weighted scale. In the tradition of the original footballguys.com Dynasty Rankings thread, intelligent debate is welcome and encouraged.

Game Notes | Week 15: Broncos @ Panthers

Jay Cutler - Down by 17 with no running game and a strong receiving corps, Cutler all the ingredients for a monster second half. Instead, the Cutler held onto the ball too long, and the Panthers consistently got a hand in his face. Intercepted on a batted ball that he tried to squeeze into Eddie Royal. Could have had at least 4 passes intercepted. Holding onto the ball too long, lack of a running attack leading to defensive pressure.

Tatum Bell

Selvin Young - Young had an awful fumble just before halftime that gave the Panthers a gift-wrapped field goal.

P.J. Pope - Waltzed in on a 6-yard swing pass with all of the attention on the Broncos receivers. Appears to be the backfield option of choice in the passing game.

Brandon Marshall - Tried to make a body catch on a ball that would have been awfully close to a touchdown.

Eddie Royal - Came close to hauling in a touchdown pass that ricocheted off Brandon Marshall's hands.

Brandon Stokley

Tony Scheffler - Invisible in the first half. Couldn't reel in a 3rd & 6 pass that Cutler threw low.

Daniel Graham - Targeted heavily on the first drive.

Jake Delhomme - Found Steve Smith wide open several times, but could have had a long touchdown had he not underthrown a wide open Smith deep down the middle of the field. The one interception was twice deflected. Just missed Jeff King on a sure TD.

DeAngelo Williams - Reversed field after getting stuffed, and found a seam to go 56 yards for his 16th touchdown of the season. Has been on the bench ever since the TD run.

Jonathan Stewart - Gets two straight carries inside the 5-yard line and walks in on the second one. Carolina record 9th touchdown for a rookie.

Steve Smith - Was wide open for a 24-yard gainer and answered that with a spectacular leaping catch for 27 more yards. He finished his ownership of the first drive with a 15-yard swing pass for the score. Deep down the middle, and he can't be covered.

Muhsin Muhammad

Prater wide right on a 47-yarder, now 6 misses between 40 & 49.
