Welcome to the "Original" Dynasty Rankings Fantasy Football Blog

This blog was born out of a Dynasty Rankings thread originally begun in October, 2006 at the Footballguys.com message boards. The rankings in that thread and the ensuing wall-to-wall discussion of player values and dynasty league strategy took on a life of its own at over 275 pages and 700,000 page views. The result is what you see in the sidebar under "Updated Positional Rankings": a comprehensive ranking of dynasty league fantasy football players by position on a tiered, weighted scale. In the tradition of the original footballguys.com Dynasty Rankings thread, intelligent debate is welcome and encouraged.

Hey Chris,
I hope you are busy making money or fulfilling your dreams, but I definitely feel dumber now that your postings have slowed.

I have been reviewing your old posts to help me--As always don't give up the ship--us rats need to live too.

Thank you, Anonymous. I just saw this comment, and it's appreciated.

The spirit of your comment is correct in that real life, job, commitments, have kept me from posting as much as I would like to.

I am trying to carve out a future in this field with Rotoworld and NBCSports, and that's a major factor. I wish money was more at play, but I'm happy for now making just enough to get by paycheck-to-paycheck. It's certainly not a field to get into for getting wealthy.

As far as the future, I do have plans to blog/tweet more as soon as we get these two spring magazines out of the way. I'll try to communicate in some way whether the bulk of the blogging will be done here or on Rotoworld's Pancake Blocks blog.

Cheers,
Chris
